Colonel Scholar Night 2018

295 Colonel Scholars!!! The Bratzke Student-Athlete Academic Success Center, in association with the EKU Department of Athletics, hosted its annual Colonel Scholar Night in conjunction with the men's basketball game versus Tennessee-Martin on Thursday, Feb. 08. This year, 295 student-athletes were recognized for achieving a 3.0 grade point average during either the spring 2017 or fall 2017 semesters, earning the designation as Colonel Scholars. All 17 varsity athletic teams, along with the cheer and dance teams, were honored with a pizza party prior to the basketball game, and were introduced on the court at halftime. It is noteworthy 67% of EKU's student-athletes, earned a 3.0 grade point average this past fall semester. The cheer and dance teams had a total of 44 members achieve a 3.0 GPA as well. The annual event is part of the continuing effort to place a premium on academic excellence and to recognize the scholarly achievements of EKU's student-athletes.
