Student-Athlete Halloween Party!

Student-Athlete Halloween Party!

RICHMOND, Ky. – Nearly 160 Eastern Kentucky University student-athletes, spanning all 17 sports, took a break from the grind of their seasons to have some fun at a Halloween party hosted by the athletics department on Wednesday night in Alumni Coliseum.

Guests at the party were treated to inflatables, a photo booth and carnival games such as Plinko and cornhole.

There was also a costume contest with four unique categories: scariest, funniest, team, and most creative. Adam Howard and Dominique Norris from men's track and field won scariest with a zombie theme, while volleyball player Mallory Maxwell won funniest dressed as her head coach Lori Duncan. Football took home first place in the team contest with a mummy theme. Finally, women's cross country came away with first in the most creative category with their "Netflix and Chill" themed costumes.

"It was a fun way to get the athletes to dress up and have fun while in the midst of either being in season or off season," volleyball player Ciera Koons said. "It was a good way to get our minds off school, too."
