Fifty-Two EKU Student-Athletes Set to Graduate This Weekend May. 14, 2015 General RICHMOND, Ky. – Fifty-two Eastern Kentucky University student-athletes will take part in the 2015 Spring Commencement ceremonies this weekend at Roy Kidd Stadium. Representatives from 15 of the 17 varsity sports and two spirit squads will receive their bachelor's degree, while three student-athletes will receive their master's degree at the end of the spring semester or this coming summer. Three EKU student-athletes will receive their master's degree: #Ichiro Vance# (football), #Una Britton# (cross country) and #Robin Steinert# (dance team). Logan is a unique graduate in that he is earning his bachelor's degree 16 years after playing football at EKU. The running back twice led the Colonels in rushing and earned first team All-OVC honors in 1997. Logan has earned enough credits to qualify for a bachelor's degree in general studies in arts & sciences. A University-wide commencement ceremony is scheduled fro Friday evening at Roy Kidd Stadium beginning at 7 p.m. In addition Friday's commencement ceremony, each academic college at EKU is holding a convocation to honor its graduates. Those ceremonies are scheduled throughout the day Friday and Saturday at either Alumni Coliseum or the Center for the Arts. On Friday, the College of Arts & Sciences will hold a convocation ceremony in Alumni Coliseum at 9:30 a.m., followed by the College of Health Sciences at 2:30 p.m. Also on Friday, the College of Business & Technology will hold its ceremony in the EKU Center for the Arts at 11 a.m. The College of Justice & Safety will honor its graduates on Saturday morning in Alumni Coliseum at 9:30 a.m., while the College of Education convocation ceremony will take place in the Center for the Arts at 2 p.m.
